Purchased over a decade ago by long-time Valley local, Mark Chabot, he rebranded the small trucking business as Columbia Valley Freight and successfully grew the company throughout his tenure. In 2019, he sold the company to his son, Mitch, who along with his wife and business partner, Brienne, have worked diligently to meet increasing demand and innovate the business. In the less than two years since, the pair have expanded routes, the schedule, the fleet, and the team–administration and drivers.
Mitch and Brienne are growing a thriving business that supports other regional businesses– and residents, too! The team looks to innovation in an “old fashioned” trucking era– route expansion, different product offerings, and a true partnership with customers as a way of doing business.

We currently connect Calgary (and area), Golden (and area), & Cranbrook (and area) to the Columbia Valley, but are always looking for expansion beyond our current coverage map. We do offer our services to Fernie, Elkford, and beyond on dedicated loads.
We take pride in moving all of your belongings safely. We are FULLY insured in the rare instance that damage occurs, but have a 99% damage free rate.
No, but we do offer curb-side and/ or garage delivery.
Yes! We have staff and equipment to move almost any item! We will ensure it is moved safely to your new location.

Yes! We offer appliance removal, cardboard recycling, or garbage removal services.
